Recent News:

• Repair of the telescope - May & June 2007. After a lightning strike hit the communications line at the observatory more than a year ago, the hardware and electronics have been obtained and repairs have begun to bring the 0.5 m robotic telescope online.
  
• Recent College of Charleston Physics Department graduates Kiwi Davis (now at University of Michigan) and Stephen Hughes (now at Florifa Institute of Technology) have developed a series of Perl scripts for the automated GRB response project under the guidance of Prof. Tim Giblin. (2006)
  
• A refined pointing mesh was obtained by CofC student Lew Wadworth under the guidance of Prof. Jim Neff as part of his senior project. Work also continues on GRB response preparation - January 2005
  
• Commissioning of the telescopes continues - October 2004
  
• College of Charleston astronomers receive NSF grant to perform rapid response observations of Gamma-Ray Bursts in support of NASA's Swift mission.
